Our first week back has been a really good one, despite the weather causing some interruptions! I hope you have all stayed safe throughout the storm.
It has been great to see our students back and prepared for the more wintry half of our Autumn term, wearing their NAC jumpers and coats – I’m sure they felt the benefit this week! On the subject of uniform, we’re pleased to say that we now have black socks available on our Classcharts shop for any students that require them.
Our sports leaders did us proud on Monday this week helping to run the PE taster events for our potential Year 6 students and showcased their leadership and sporting talents. A huge thank you to them all.
We have had our second Year 7 CPR training today with Jay’s Aim, with the final session taking place next Friday. This session which all our students take part in obviously teaches a vital life-saving skill and represents our ongoing commitment to Jay’s Aim, for whom we raised over £10,000 when they were our charity of the year in 2022.
We have hosted celebration assemblies this week for all year groups and it has been fantastic to have so many achievements to celebrate! The assembly that was due to take place yesterday will be rescheduled for next week, so those students won’t miss out – please do reassure your child if they are concerned about this.
Finally, parents/carers of year 11 students – don’t forget that our Sixth Form Open Evening is on Wednesday 8th November from 5-7pm. More information can be found on our website.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and manage to celebrate bonfire night without too much rain!
Take care,
Mrs Grashoff,
Headteacher
