Welcome to the Arts @ Newton Abbot College

Our Music, Performing Arts, Art & Photography and Drama departments collectively make up our fantastic Arts team. Together we offer a wide range of performance opportunities for our students to engage in: our college musical, annual dance show, winter concert, spring performance and Summer Sessions.

We are the first and only school in Devon to hold the Platinum Artsmark Award, the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England. As part of our commitment to the wider community and local education, this standard enables us to support other educational settings to develop and celebrate their commitment to arts and cultural education for all children and young people.

At the heart of the Arts, we believe in developing an inclusive culture and budding creativity and we promote a broad and ambitious curriculum that strengthens pupil voice and supports personal progression.
